What's for Christmas Dinner 2022?

Picked up a tenderloin and rib roast today that were on sale for $12.99 and $4.79./lb. We usually do a Beef Wellington, rib roast will be frozen for later use.

Nice t-loin and good price too. We always have beef tenderloin that I'll trim and cut thick to grill steaks along with broccoli salad and twice baked potato casserole. French bread and sweet potato cranberry bread for later with coffee. I have been the local ice cream maker for years with several machines and it'll be egg noggin ice cream too.

That’s sounds like a great meal! I’m gonna do the tenderloin like this. Not sure if it’ll be cooked on the grill or in the oven, depends on the weather.

I'm just bringing snacks and a side this year. But I will say that the COVID Christmas of 2020, it was just the four of us and I did a sous vide tenderloin with a port wine reduction. It was really good.

Edit: searching Google, this cook showed up on the first page of results.

Very nice and I’ve seen that episode. I’ll be cutting 1.5“ thick steaks and grilling on the Yoder with grill grates @ 500 degrees Dusted with Cajun Shake. It’s a fantastic steak cooking machine with good searing.

*Christmas is the only time that I don't smoke and sear them. It's a Christmas tradition. I was a teenager before I realized that there was no such cut as a "Christmas" roast  ...it's just what we called them...and still do...
