The wife and kids wanted tritip for dinner on a Wednesday!? Who am I to argue with that. I tried to do it quick but its tough to rush it.

here it was on direct heat with a little Montreal and getting a quick sear


flipped over still on direct heat for a little more color




moved to the indirect



only had two mushrooms left :( and few asparagus


pulled off at 135 gave it 10 minutes or so to rest and then sliced it up




turned out really well for a "fast" tri-tip cook.

Gorgeous tri-tip. I like the two shrooms. Sometimes you are low on something...doesnt mean you cant throw it on the grill and have lots of options on your plate.
