So this thing popped up on craigs list about a week ago, with lots of internet searching and help from you folks on here, I picked this baby up on January 1, 2021 for the bagin price of $300!!!

A buddy helped me load it and get it into the shop. Surprisingly it went pretty easy. We lifted it on to trailer and used the atv ramps to roll it down. This thing is built like a tank and its definitely is heavy.

The original owner died in 2012, i bought it from his son who was a great guy, said they were remodeling the original lake house and decided to do a full outdoor kitchen, they were doing a built in grill and didnt need dads grill anymore. They However used the grill until November 2020.

These photos show the grease catch in the main cabinet right under fire box. Is in great shape. You will see the original grease trap pot is still there also. Unfortunately there are a few holes in it..
:(

The bars are in just ok shape... they are not at the end of their life but i would love to replace them. I see a few on ebay and also heard there is someone on here who makes them.

The plan is to convert it to LP clean it all up. I want to bring it up to our family cabin in Northern MN because we do mostly all out door cooking there, but it only sees use from april-november, and only on the weekends. I hope it will last a lifetime up there.

Very nice. Great to see an older grill with no rust on it. That grill should be a 2002 model year if that helps you out.
The guy who makes custom flavorizer bars is Dave Santana (RCPlanebuyer). If you want to contact him, use this search to find one of his Craigslist adds and contact him through that. Tell him what you are looking for and he will let you know if he can help you out and what it would cost.

Top is my summit 450 manifold, bottom is the vieluxe.. the swap out perfectly. Going to try it and see if it works with tge summit parts.

Right is sumit burner, left out of vieluxe. Same exact, minus the holes versus slits where the flame comes out. Is that an updated burner??

The smoker burner is a bit different than the others? The holes are on the side, and the end is different. Right is vieluxe smoker burner. The other will fit in there just. However also it does not have hole for the cross

Do you intend to swap entire manifold, just valves or just orifices? Clearly the manifold swap isn't going to work, but you don't have enough valves or orifices to swap just those out.

Also, are those burners the same length? The on on the right looks a bit shorter, but that could be the angle of the photo.

I don't think the hold shape is a problem. On the Genesis grills, you see both.

Looks like same valves. Could be wrong though. Either way it's one helluva grill. BTW other than dirty I see nothing wrong with the flavo bars. I would let them be. Just get some Gen 1 Summit Xover tubes and you're good to go. As for the conversion, I would simply get LP orifices (or blanks and drill my own). Even if the valves are not the absolute correct ones it won't be a safety issue.

Burners are same length. My current plan is to just swap orfus and if it works, then i know its possible. From there i can order proper blanks and drill them out. I plan on just capping the rotisserie burner as i am not going to use it at this time. Off to hardware store for a few parts..

Flavor bars are decent.. if i can get everything to play along and work properly.. and a new set is available.. why not.. time will tell.
