For painting plastic such as knobs, I use Krylon Fusion. It won't last forever, but I have had good luck on my Summit with it.

Looking great! I vote that the Cookbox color should match lid end caps! It'll frame the red lid beautifully! As well as keeping the stainless cookbox shield stainless. The red lower grate is going to be a beautiful touch to tie the red tanks together, and the red sideburner cover will just be the icing on the cake!
