Turkey Chili

Found myself with a bunch of leftover turkey and thought I might do a turkey pot pie to use it up. Then, along with a lot of you, I checked out the ThermoWorks Newsletter yesterday and saw this recipe for Turkey Chili. It looked easy, fun and delicious. I asked my wife it she'd rather try that instead of the pot pie and she said absolutely.

Here the fixin's.

Cooked the onion, green bell pepper and garlic in our large dutch oven. Threw the spices in too.

Added the tomatoes, beans and lots of turkey.

Mixed it up and let it simmer for around an hour and a half.

A nice, hearty meal on a chilly, rainy night. Thanks for looking.

Great looking chili, never used turkey before will give that a try. What is this thing you call rain, I believe a long long time ago that might have happened here, but alas my memory fails me.

Russ, Barb and Rich.... I'd gladly share our whopping 5 inch rain total for the season with you. Believe we had over 12 inches this time last year. Nothing on the radar until a small storm possibly on Saturday. If this keeps up, folks around here will be talking the D word again, if they're not already.
