Everything was terrific! Including the new-to-me brewskis
(thanks Morgan, I will drink more of them)

After the dinner dishes were washed, dried and put away,
I decided to visit the new Franklin Hospital...

...after i sliced off the tip of my left-hand index finger.
A very sharp chef's knife did not like the way i was putting it away.

Anyway, thanks for visiting and let's be careful out there!

Jim, the chuck eyes, taters and veggies look fantastic! Sorry to hear about the sliced finger tip.

Hope it heals up quick.

True -- that was a cutting edge evening. Heal quickly Jim. As usual, the chuck eyes look great, as do the sides. I'm always a bit stumped as to what to put on the nopales to give them some flavor. Suggestions?

Great looking grub Jim. Hope ya get better fast and unfortunately your mishap is a important reminder for all of us to be careful prepping and cooking!!

Great cooking and drinking Jim! I hope the high octane beer didn't have anything to do with your cutting edge incident! Glad u liked them!

Take care of that finger (didn't seem to slow ur postin down any)

As usual a nice cook Jim but please let us know how you're doing with the finger. Not for me 'cause I don't care but for everyone else. :) Please get well soon.

PS - I can't believe you actually found the time to post about this. Duh!!!!!!!!!!!

Heal up quick Jim!!!! Cook looked perfect. I have not had nopales since honeymoon in Zeewaa (Zihuatanejo) 14 years ago. I see them at the latino grocer every time we go and I keep thinking - if Jim can grill 'em, so can I!

Food looks perfect as always - Take care of the finger!~

I season the nopales with Penzey's Chicago Steak Seasoning, it has good stuff in it and tastes great on the cactus...
and yes, the now deformed finger is on my most used left hand:p butt it'll be fine in no time.
