Tri tip strips and mushrooms!

Howdy folks..steak sounded wonderful last nite so here we go!!

Enjoyed a nice vodka and sprite while things heated up!

Nice clean performer...

Seared some mushrooms

Added some cream and worst. Sauce to the shrooms and took em off the heat!

TT on..hit with a bit of weber chop and garlic..

Seared up!

Added some bread!

Plated like this!!

Good stuff..little over done for me but tasty and juicy non the less!! Gerti wanted some too?

For fast-cooking camp food I do Tri-Tip in a similar way.

The at-home prep...
Put Tri-Tip in freezer for about an hour.
Take out and slice cross grain into 1/4" thick strips

At camp get the grill hot
Sprinkle Montreal Steak Seasoning on one side only
Start flippin' those strips on that hot grill

The freezer phase stiffens the meat a bit so you can get that thin slice on it
Very easy and they cook fast
 
Morgan that’s a fine looking plate you got there! Our Golden retriever Holly does the same thing Gerti is doing except she always gets a big drink of water first then goes under the table and sticks her wet snout on my lap. Yuck!
 
Great looking strips as usual Morgan!!! Mushrooms look great too, heck that whole plate looks stellar!!!
 
I love shrooms but I've had bad luck with them on the grill.... Every pic though is great.
