The burger was very good and it was fun to participate in this challenge, let's keep it going everyone.

Somebody needs to get Wolgast in on this - he was always kicking out some awesome 'Juicy Lucys'.

Very Nice James.

Still the best way to roast peppers

The two grill masters I'm calling out to meet this challenge are:

from my old hood of SLC that wild arse Clint

and from my new hood of So. Oregon the master of mini making Brian Dahl

Get to it men.

Woof - love the bacon weave James and coal roasted pepper - very creative! That is definitely going to advance the state of the art for stuffed burgers. Great call on your challenges too. I can't wait to see what your challengees have in store for us...

Regards,

john

James, bacon weave artistry in a burger, he he he. Some crafty characters running around here. Great flavor combo too. Well done my friend.
Oh, and good call on those two, should be interesting!
Still waiting on Bob's entry, that will be good I'm sure

Everyone has come up with some amazing burgers! It's only going to get better from the way this is going. Keep it going, congrats to everyone so far.

Bill, burgers stuffed with ATBs... what a bonehead idea.

A W E S O M E ! ! ! !

Here's mine:

Hold on - I'm getting a little ahead of myself.

This is a first for me, but I have a lot of good influences around here so I had some ideas!

I started by steam frying some spinach & tomato:

Frying some bacon & onions (about a quarter of an onion). This is a 1/4" x 12" steel disk - it's going to be the heat shield for my mini:

I wanted the bacon Extra Crispy. I've been wanting to try variations of this (xtra crispy) for a while now:

out of the fire & into the pan. I broke the bacon up with my fingers & sauced it a little:

A little more:

That's about a 3/8" thick piece of tilamook medium cheddar cheese, the tomato/spinach mixed with feta on the right (oh yeah, I peppered all 4 patties.

I almost did tots but the asparagus will have to do:

A little mayo on the bottom bun, WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) is what's on the top:

Cheddar / bacon / cheese (bbq sauce....only sauced on the inside & the leftover filling on top):

Spinach / Tomato / Feta
<too many images so you have to click here>

These were just under 1/2 pound of 80/20 chuck each (just under half pound burgers)

and whose creations do I want to see???????? That's a tough one.

But I'm calling out Rita Y & Len Dennis!

Clint - pushes across the finish line with a double entry. Very creative use of techniques and ingredients. I love the cheddar ooze from the classic burger and what could beat the combo of spinach and feta? A veritable gourmet duo from the great state of Utah. Great job Clint! The pace has just increased folks and now we have two new fierce competitors in the arena. I can't wait to see what's next...

Regards,

John

Challenge accepted, though I'm going to need a little time to get it all together. And I'm gonna need a little time to get it all together because my predecessors have thrown down some mighty gauntlets!
