I had a bunch that I got at lawn and garden shows. Still have a few of them in the tool box
And lumber yards used to give them for free.
When was the last time you were lucky enough to even FIND a decent “Lumber Yard”!?
There were 8 that quickly come to mind when I was a kid, now… one “specialty lumber” dealer. It’s so sad to see that way of life just disappear. I used to take a box along when my dad went to “Lake St. limber lumber” and fill it with scrap to make whatever I could dream up! Now, “There ain’t no such animal!”

Long gone, closest thing is Menard's that still has a drive thru yard.
I could never understand the whole " load up a cart " and wheel it thru the aisles then "unload" the same cart as you "load" your vehicle.
Still have a Heinz lumber down the street but they are commercial.

Ellenbaas does individual purchases, I believe but, they are indeed far more directed toward the commercial cabinetmaker business. Thankfully I have a buddy that is a fine cabinetmaker so, I can raid his scrap for 90% of the small projects I have.
There is a very fine lace about an hour away but… it’s an hour away! L.L.Johnson, amazing material!
