Reminds me of when an old friend and his wife came to visit for a couple of days. They brought me a set of 4 steak thermometers as a gift. The next night, before I put the ribeyes on the grill, I asked them how they wanted theirs and told them asking was just a formality and they'd be however they came off the grill It was several days later, when I opened the doodad drawer in the kitchen and saw their gift. Dang, did I feel stupid!
