we occasionally throw a summer bash - Both Doris and I turned 60 this year, so it seemed like a good year to host one - We invite our friends for a long weekend to camp, play and listen to music, eat, drink and to hang out. As far as the food aspect of this party, the menu was Rib / Sausage combo on Friday night, Truckers breakfast on Saturday morning , and then pulled pork and chicken on Saturday evening. We did everything on two 22" WSM's , three 22" Weber kettles, and a shiny new 36" Weber griddle. All the sausages were home made, as was the bacon and sauces. Doris baked all the cookies, macarons and biscuits.

That’s fabulous! I don’t like that many people, it would never happen around me anymore. The feasting Absolutely! The number of guests, that would be maybe thirty at most! Oh, wife says they have to go home at night!

good call - 45 on Friday - 75 for Saturday's main event - just over 40 campers. As we all age, some folks opted for local AirB&B's ....

lol.... most folks tented - sorta like leaving, right? we opted for our bedroom this year. Our friends are helpful - it felt like every time I walked into the kitchen there wasn't a dirty dish in sight..... pretty amazing crew....
