Steam-N-Chips

Seems like the USPS employees got a hold of a bad batch of drugs. It was less than ten miles from my house in Lake Delton two days ago. Now it is in Oak Creek (Near Milwaukee) and has been for two days. No expected delivery date yet. I guess it has to make a run down to Dallas, TX before it will get to me.

Oh, yah, way over two weeks since I ordered it. Seller was very slow getting it to USPS though. But still it has been 8 days since USPS had control of the package and that was in a neighboring state (Michigan). I still don't even have a projected delivery date.

One thing I've seen with many FleaBay purchases is you look at the tracking info and it says "USPS awaiting item tracking number created", and it shows up at my house! One of the things I hope is "dismantled and rebuilt" with the new "regime" is USPS. What an ill run organization

Don't count on it as this started with the last regime's modernization screw up.

Privatization. I bet elon musk could have it running well, at half the cost that it does now

Wow not to be intentionally difficult but I've always really liked eBay a lot. I've done more purchasing there than probably anywhere online over the last decade or so. Also USPS is by far my favorite shipping. FedEx and UPS drive me insane with their crappy service and slow delivery and losing packages. I've had to use eBay's money back guarantee a couple times and it was very nice dealing with eBay. Just showed proof that I didn't get what I paid for and they gave me my money back immediately multiple times and they go after the seller for compensation. Interesting to hear differing opinions. I totally understand though. Stick with whatever works best for you.

What I really want to know is what are these 3rd party shippers that then transfer to USPS and how the sellers can sell something for $6 with free shipping and make any money? I can't do that with the standard eBay print a label!

I dislike Ebay, but I use them occasionally. But in this instance, my issue is mainly with the USPS. Even though almost all my shipping of packages is done with them, I seem to have a lot of issues with late incoming packages and packages that seem to tour half the US before it gets from the sender to me even though we are a few hundred miles apart. I realize logistics can be complicated, but I don't think the USPS has anyone in charge that knows what they are doing some times. My latest package is a good example. It would have been late if had arrive the day it landed in a post office ten miles from me, but then, somehow they thought it would better to ship it out to some other USPS facility 100 miles away. Fine, but then it left there two days ago without a destination indicated on the tracking. That is why I said their AI algorithm probably has it headed for Dallas or Philadelphia before coming back to the midwest.
I hope Trump/Musk/Wamaswamy do something about it.
And this has happened to my packages before. It isn't like this is a one off.

Amazon and other big retailers have negotiated contracts for "REDUCED" shipping prices. To the point that USPS is delivering a lot of the packages are near or below break even costs. I am supposed to get a delivery today of a couple Amazon items and I am really getting worried they won't be delivered. At 5pm, it isn't looking good. My USPS delivery drivers all complain about Amazon deliveries. They have them running two and sometimes three deliveries here in a day. One for letter mail and one or two for packages. I am rural and they only have so much room in their private vehicles for packages.

While we're on the subject. Has anyone ever ordered anything online from OfferUp? Any good or bad experience? I'm thinking about purchasing something across the country through OfferUp. They say they have 100% money back guarantee through OfferUp but I'd be curious if anyone has any experience with it?
Considering purchasing a $200 53 lb bench vise from New York to be shipped to Washington.

I wonder if these issues are based on your location or part of the country? Sincerely curious
Might, but my sister down just south of St Louis has some horror stories and one of her best friends works in the post office and confirms how bad things are. Remember when they used to say a first class stamp would get a letter anywhere in the lower 48 within two days? hahaha
