We went up to Seattle this past weekend to see the Blackhawks get thumped by the Kraken- It wasn't pretty! Anyway, while we were up there, we stopped at one my favorite butchers - Beast & Cleaver, and grabbed a few things, including some beautiful steaks that we prepared last night -

we started off with bubbles and Hama Hama oysters:

after snarfing those down, we lit the grill in anticipation of the main attraction. I went bone-in ribeye, Doris did a filet.....

I made it about half way through mine... Doris did about the same....

Nice looking cook! I need to try that bone in Ribeye again sometime soon.

Reading between the lines here... you're from Chicago (so a Blackhawks fan) but living near Seattle now? That's quite a change! I'm in Chicago a lot for work and had my first Reuben and Miller's Pub down on Monroe street a couple weeks ago - it was quite an experience!

nice! Sounds like a good time on Monroe Street!

Born and raised in Chicago - Move to Seattle in 1984 - then to a rural part of WA state in 2005 - Still love my BEARS, Cubs, Hawks and Bulls - it's a somewhat confusing relationship, as while in my Seattle years, I grew fond of the Seahawks, M's and Sonics - however, I will still always root for Chicago teams first!

Sports pairs well with BBQ, so its good to have teams in various time zones!
