Some Mountain Mojoe

Spent the weekend in the mountains with the in-laws and they asked if I minded cooking! Time to break out the new toy!!
The mojoe warming up on the back deck..

2 pounds of bacon getting nice and crispy!

A little quality time with my oldest son..

Slid the bacon to the outside so I could make the pancakes

I got hungry, and forgot to take a pic of the 18 eggs getting scrambled or a plated pic, But here is a pic of the view from the front porch..

Now for dinner, burgers and dogs..

The burgers stepped to the side so the dogs could have their 60 seconds of fame!

Again, no plated pics. ( gonna have to work on that!) I have to say, the size and versatility of this griddle still amaze me! Having never cooked on anything larger than a CI skillet, the amount of food I can cook on this (all at one time) still amazes me!

Looks like fun. I noticed the bag underneath. Does that thing have a grease trap/runoff, or does it just roll off the sides?

It just rolls to the side. That's why I switched to the driveway for the burgers and dogs. Just part of the learning curve.

That looks like a pretty awesome griddle and I bet you can hack that into a kettle pizza oven pretty easily.

On the other hand, the grease having the ability to drip onto my deck, feet, lawn, driveway or anything else seems like a pretty dumb design flaw that could have been pretty easily rectified.

Hi Cam, great feedback - I suppose if I was using this over a campfire then the grease would not be an issue - But using it on a Performer seems like a fire/burn hazard.

Still looks like a very cool product. My apologies for using "dumb" to describe anything...If I can't be constructive, I shouldn't respond.

lots of ways to deal with the grease - whether it be a grease trap milled into the rim (machine a groove along the perimeter). Same as I wouldn't tolerate a One-Touch Silver (the Gold contains the ashes), I would opt for a discada to keep the mess contained...................... I'm messy enough already. You have a nice product and a nice start - I don't want to knock your efforts, at all.
