Smoked Turkey, Smoked Bacon, Ham and Provilone Panini

Over the weekend I smoked a Turkey Breast and had a traditional Turkey Dinner with potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberry, rolls, etc, etc. I love to use leftovers in a totally unrelated dish.

Well, tonight was the make over. I tried some new charcoal: Royal Oak Briquettes. I fried bacon. I seared turkey breast in the bacon fond. I applied stone ground mustard to a roll and added provolone and deli ham. I pressed it Panini style -- all on the grill. and of course I served it with home lacto fermented picked cucumbers and homebrew MaiBock.

Can't blame the fuzz on the pickles...
Nice lunch platter. Or dinner. How did you like the RO briquettes?

I like them. Though they're smaller than KBB, they seems to burn about the same.
I think I noticed less ash but this is purely anecdotal - I didn't weight it or anything.

That fuzzy photo was all me.

Like that idea Dwain, Barb and I just finished the last of the turkey we smoked Sunday last night so I'll have to wait to give it a try, so I bookmark it.
