Howdy folks...busy busy weekend here..Friday we had some friends over, buddy of mine wanted to learn how to smoke salmon. We did up about 10 lbs of coho, much like the last couple cooks I have done! Turned out good..here was some of the finished product!
About 14 hours at 120 with alder..I ended up using the water pan empty cause I needed the bottom rack for space. Actually kept the temps way more consistent!
Any way..Saturday we did some more boozing with friends, Sunday morning..the same! Seahawks party and breakfast (early game!) and copious amounts of bloody Mary's! Got home and not sure if it was the veggie juice and vodka or what but we ended up cleaning the whole house top to bottom? Watched a bit of the Packers game(sorry Jim)...then geez what's for dinner? Gerti wanted to grill!
Ok so beer ready, coals almost there and Tri tip strips seasoned up!
I normally bank my coals but tonight we located them directly center (had a bunch of grill grates to clean tonight too!)
Steak on!
Other side!
Added some bread to toast up!
And plated with a simple green salad...feta and home made balsamic dressing!
Not bad for last minute...great weekend!! Hope ya all had the same!! Some great looking cookin going on around here the last couple days!!
Take care folks! Hope you have a great week!
