I decided we needed a sweet desert for tonight's dinner. Even though it was raining outside, I decided to forge ahead. After seeing all the pic's of what you guys do in three feet of snow, I went for it. Here are the pic's.

The cake is all ready to go and will put it on my WSM.

Got it on the grill just as it really got raining. Sorry the picture was so dark. Guess my auto flash wasn't too auto.

Had to put foil over the upper vent as I didn't want a soggy cake.

Got into the cook at 45 minutes and I just was flat out pouring. Managed to get this picture without getting the cake too wet. Had to leave the camera out as needed both hands to take the cake in. Camera was soaked.

Got it in and let cool for about twenty minutes.

Finished product flipped to plate, topped with chopped pecans and delicious rum glaze.

The WSM did a great job. It is very versatile and performs well, even in the rain.
Thanks for looking.

That looks delicious Cliff, Ill bring over some good vanilla ice creme,
and we need to see a slice of this cake to check out the smoke ring….HeHe

Was there a difference from using an oven?

Well, It was a lot more fun on the WSM. Kind of ironic, huh. We just got a brand new Kitchen Aide double wall oven! I've never done this cake in the oven, but I don't know how it could have been any better.
