Got some ribs a few weeks ago @ Walmart. Looked too good to pass up. Yesterday morning we marinated them in Montreal Steak Sauce. Seasoned them up with of course with Tatonka Dust & Cabella's whiskey steak seasoning. Turned out they were USDA choice.

Here they go bathing away and loving it. Ready for the fridge.
Got up at 5:30 to get started, 41*, wind 5-10 mph, I froze my privates off getting old rotten lit up.
Lit some RO lump in the Performer in the chimney starter, went back in and regrouped, got some warmer clothes on.
Threw lump in the egg, waited 45 mins to 275* threw on some red Oak Mojo brick for smoke, ribs are on.
Also notice I just put a new gasket on old rotten.
Full moon @ 6:00 am.
Had my folks out today for dinner. My Dad will be 82 in Sept. My mom just turned 80.
So these ribs were for him on Fathers Day. I swear I will kill him off. He ate one rack and all that was left on his plate were 3 big bones. He just raved how good they were. Definitely got a touch down on these ribs everyone agreed.
Here I am plated up ribs, beans w/ homemade bacon and the wife's delicious homemade potato salad. It was all guuud!

Russ... Meant to ask you yesterday, is Rotten an actual opinion of your BGE or is that just your endearing term for it? I've been interested in the Kamado style cookers for a couple of years now. I wouldn't mind having one in my arsenal, but I'm waiting to see if Weber will venture into the market. I know if they make one, it will be best of the best.
