Rotiserrie Chicken and Scalloped Potatoes

Lots of college football today. And trick or treaters coming to the door. We decided on a rotisserie chicken and scalloped potatoes while we watched the game and attended to our guests.

First off covered the chicken with Weber's Kickin Chicken.

Then set the cook up on the rotisserie.

Started some bacon for the potatoes and then fried them in the bacon grease with some onion. This is my last shot of the potatoes but later I added cheese and the bacon chopped up.

Took the chicken off to rest at 170 degrees.

Kim made a nice salad with apples, golden raisins, cranberries, feta cheese and a peach gorgonzola dressing.

And plated with a nice halloween beer.

It was a lot of fun cooking and answering the door for all the little kids in the neighborhood.

The chicken and potatoes and salad were delicious!

Thanks for looking and Happy Halloween!

Great looking plate you two. Roti chicken with Kickin Chicken is what we do also, really good flavor.

Robert and Kim supper dinner I'd come for that meal. You both are great and thanks for sharing your awesome cooks.

Is that not the best rub or what? Fantastic cook, chicken looks amazing, fixings look amazing, Kim's destroying the nines. How's that beer? I think I saw it at TJ's? Is it pumpkin flavored or just another Octoberfest type beer.

Thanks everyone!

Chuck I agree kickin chicken is the deal. The beer is spiced with pumpkiny type spices and is good if you like that sort of thing. I'm good for one or two and then back to the normal stuff.

Well Robert, you're never going to believe what I cooked for Halloween dinner last night! I'll leave it at that for now. Your chicken and plate look fantastic. Another great cook. Kim's salad sounds delicious and looks gorgeous. My wife made a similar salad the other night with Romaine, Arugula, fresh pears, goat cheese, pomegranate kernels and chopped pistachios.

Can't wait to see your meal if you post it. The salad your wife made sounds great. We'll have to try that one. Kim informed me that I made an error. It was pear gorgonzola not peach. Duh!
