Re-runs on a Saturday Night... Dijon & Garlic Rib Eyes

This is one of our favorite recipes and we make it often. You can find it in Weber’s “Smoke” and also on the Weber site. Basically it’s a Dijon & Garlic marinade/paste with Thyme, Balsamic and celery seed.

Actually he’s right on cue. This is where I usually chop up the larger pieces of lump before a cook. No lump for this one though.

Rib Eyes and asparagus just about done.

Plated with some taters and gaaalic bread.

Okay Mr. Lampe, in the interest of full disclosure, here is the PM I sent to Mr. Correll regarding his comment about the "abundance" of asparagus..............

Okay, more information than you deserve! As I pulled the rib eyes off the grill Saturday night, my oldest son dropped by with one of his buddies. Nancy being Nancy, she insisted they stay for dinner. I on the other hand suggested they go out and get pizza. Yes, Nancy always wins. Now I have been making Pepper Stout beef, your version of chicken on a stick and a couple of other things last week but no plated photos. I was DETERMINED to get a photo before we ended up “sharing”. Anticipating the new portions and motivated by nasty looks from Nancy, I went easy on the asparagus. Immediately after the photo, Nancy cut both steaks in half. Please note that following dinner, they said thanks, left and went out for pizza.

You should also know they stole a couple of my beers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
