Quality time with my mom.....

But first let me tell you about Saturday night........

Started with a few drinks with some friends.

Early morning Sunday morning I wake up and have coffee .

My mom came over for breakfast and was the first time she had homemade bacon. She loved it. Thanks Bob Correll.

Forgot the plated pic again.

Then my mom for dinner requested chicken on the rotisserie. I was happy to cook for my mom.

But was happy that my mom spent the whole day watching football with me. Talking and just having a great time.

Your coffee looks very different from mine. And your breakfast and dinner are an order of magnitude better. Great cooks, made all the better with Mom.

Glad you had a great family time with your Mom, Tony. You'll carry along those memories the rest of your own life... As long as you don't have too many of those coffees! LOL. Food looks wonderful.

I like the stories that my mom tells of me when I was a kid.

I was the first born and was always helping in the kitchen. In my teens my mom was teaching me more how to cook so I wouldn't need a woman to cook for me.

I even got home economics or kitchen class in high school. I was literally the only guy in the class. :)

Now we trade recipes and wants to learn what we are cooking.
 
You and I share a lot in common my friend. I am also first born, learned some cooking from my Mom too. And I have been known to have a beer for breakfast. You sure you are not German?

I double checked. A little of Spanish blood mixed with Aztec.

Love the ice cold beer from an ice chest in the mornings. Specially after a night of too many adult drinks.

I have never tried the Modelo blend of coffee but it looks great! I was also greatly influenced by my mom. She taught me how to make stuff taste good through love of the process. She also made ends meet as a single mom which I will never forget or be able to duplicate. Really every day is Mom's day!
 
That's great you spend quality time with your Mom, it's memories built that will last a lifetime.

Boy I wish I had thought of doing that in high school, a whole room full of girls to myself..Wow!
 
Tony! great cooks/pics and what not. I think you and me are a bit alike. Dont know anything about your childhood/what you have done and what not. But like me im sure it wasent a walk on roses. So sad we dident meet up when i was in your corner of the world. But we are already planning a new trip. Respect bro!
