Bought a 9.3 pound pork butt and cut into two pieces so it would be finished faster.
Dusted and onto the grill @ 6 am.

5 hours in.

The larger half @ 198 degrees and ready to come off at 4:30 pm and I did not foil.

Plated.

Everyone said it was very good but I was not impressed but usually on a long cook like this I'm never completely happy with the end product that day even though everyone else is. Now on the other hand the next day when I eat some of the leftovers I think it tastes exceptional. Maybe my taste buds are affected by the long cook and exposure to the smoke? Anyone else experience this?
