Prep table almost done.

Since I am stuck at home I decided to work on that prep table built in the second Platinum frame I had sitting around. It is almost done. Just need to add some metal plates for the door magnets and I have to think about a shelving system.
I can now also hook up that little Q to a large propane tank.

Stefan,

I may have missed it but is that wood from a bowling alley lane?

I really like that! Nice work Stefan!
I like your idea of a prep station with the side burner Larry!!

That is one nice prep center. I still have an old Genesis 1000 frame laying around I should do that or instead of scrapping my Summit maybe just scrap the head and make a prep table with side burner

Larry,
Since I am moving much closer to your direction this summer, you need to give me a shot at buying/restoring that Summit!

No. I actually got a cheap weathered 12” long countertop and planed. sanded, cut and coated it with Spar Urethane.

That's a nice job! To me that looks like a weathered GluLam beam, those are made with SYP or southern yellow pine.
I betcha that full length was heavy?

Great work Stefan! Looks very professional. I'm jealous of your tool collection too! A guy can dream.

Would you mind putting up a few more pictures of how you attached your wood flooring to the metal frame? I'm still kicking around ideas for my wood floor on my Genesis.

Birch has become quite popular for countertops.
Possibly Douglas Fir?
My cabinet maker buddy says it’s a lot harder than a lot of folks think!
