Porterhouse steaks with other good stuff

We did this cook about 2 weeks ago. Sorry I'm behind on posting and commenting. Been a little busy with life.

Let's start with some drinks.



Here's the steak we used and I seasoned with fiesta brand steak seasoning.







We also did bacon wrapped asparagus and shrimps



Time to sear the steak





Finished indirect until it hit 135





Forgot the plates pic but when I remember I was taking my last bite. Not the best pic but I must say it was delicious.

I thought you weren't supposed to get flare ups like that with GrillGrates?

I guess it depends on the fat content of the protein. There's holes between the groves. I don't mind the flare ups. Besides it probably happened cause the lid was opened. I had it closed during the cook.
 
Good to see you back and cooking great food again. I have been eye balling those grill grates do you really like them for the price?

Great looking cook! You're teeth are obviously healed to take huge bites of steak! ;)

You "casually" say, "oh yeah....we also had bacon wrapped scallops and bacon wrapped asparagus". ha
