Using up the leftovers from Friday night. Cindy makes a mean pizza dough: not a unique recipe, years of experience makin' it. Lets set the mood

the fixin's

roasted garlic on the left and fennel on the right

the first one is done, Cindy didn't want any meat on hers. Wha-a-a-a-at?

W/ meat, on the gasser

and done

the second bite's yours

Cook time on these is pretty fast. I had all three burners going. We leave the lid open for a couple of minutes, rotating frequently, and than close her up to melt the cheese.

Where I spent the rest of the evening listening to the Husky's spank the Beavers :(

Thanks for stoppin' by.

Nicely done Brian...wish I could have joined you for the meal and game!! What a way to spend an evening!!

Brian, now, I make pizza about once a week, make my own dough also, usually sour dough, but have yet to put one on the grill as I can't imagine why. So my question is, do they taste any better done on the grill, does the crust do any better, etc. etc..........depending on your answer if I bother to do one..........................d

Great looking pie...I didn't see any beverage of choice. Not sure what was happening with the Oregon football teams.

@David: if the goal is the exquisite combo of crunchy crust, bubbling top, and hot toppings --- nah. Were they still pretty tasty pizzas? Oh yeah! And, I do like the grill marks :) We get a better spring to the dough from a pizza stone, and by far the best pizzas came from here

the cob oven we had at our previous home. This baby made the best!

@ James: the sting of our beat down was only slightly lessened by the Ducks loss. And now they're gonna be cranky and clobber us some more next week :(

d................................I'm a little surprised to read this post considering all of the bread, buns and pretzels I've seen you make. :) What part of wood smoke dough don't you like? :)

Love the pizza, looks awesome.

I don't know. It just seems like a lot of trouble to fire up a grill, especially charcoal to do a quick pizza cook. Maybe I'll try it on the gasser to see how it goes...............................d

Great looking and I'm sure tasting pizza. The wife has a great pizza dough also the really stands up to a hot grill. Just nothing better then a homemade pizza with fresh ingredients cooked on a grill.
