Pecan smoked chili cheeseburger

My kids have been bugging me all weekend for burgers. I was craving chili, but couldn't put them off any longer. So burgers it was. But I wouldn't just go away quietly.

Burgers seasoned up and ready to go. Three for the wife and kids done my "normal" way: McCormick's burger seasoning and Worcestershire. Mine (on the right) simply with kosher salt, fresh ground pepper, chili powder and oregano.

Looks like the Performer is about ready. Full of RO lump.

After a sear on one side, I flipped and added a few pickled jalapeños.

Then a little chili on top of that:

Finally, I topped it off with some shredded cheddar jack:

Once it was back inside, I topped it with some "cantina style" salsa:

And ready for chow time. Overcooked, but still really tasty and juicy.
