In 44 BC, Caesar's fate came at the hands of the assassin even though he was warned to beware the Ides of March. Despite Caesar's fall, it was a beautiful Spring day here in N Alabama so a nice dinner on the deck was in order before taking the grand daughter to see the Monster Trucks.

SWMBO found this Pork Tenderloin Medallions recipe but instead of using chops we went with tenderloin.

Here are some of the bulbs popping thru the mulch

The idea is to go from the round pizza pan, to the skillet, to the grate, to the drying rack.

Very little oil is used to brown the pork (RO lump n charcoal baskets allows me to move the fire to adjust the heat)

I set them indirect around the pan to come to internal temp without getting much browner

Very simple meal but I recommend it.

Now off to the show (not so great cell phone photos)

Looks great Dwain! Love all the pics and I've been looking for a recipe just like this - and based on the way yours turned out, definately going to have to file this one for future ref!

Another unsung master of the grill - I wish I had me some!
Though I'm not quite gettin' the Ides of Monster Truck connection :)

A must try! Looks real tasty Dwain. Great photos and I believe we are having
a Monster truck show the last weekend of this month. Pretty big around here too.

Great looking PCPTM's and pics Dwain!

Our crocus and daffodils are up, but not blooming yet.

bad memory, was it you asking me about the Fuji XF1?
if so, did you get one, and if so, do you like it?

Dwain.. Also, that first picture is fantastic. It completely captures the essence of harsh winter transforming into the hope and beauty of a new Spring. Ash grey background in contrast to the brilliant color bursting forth.

It was and I did. I really like it. It's less advanced than a DSLR but more advanced than a point and shoot. Thank you for the great recommendation.

Happy to hear you like it.
I've been using mine for most of my cook pics.
The Pro Low Light mode works well for late winter evening shots, but spring is nigh!
