Memorial Day weekend cook.

Our whole neighborhood had little flags in the yards that someone placed. It looked great with my own flag.



Unfortunately Maribel had to work for a few hours on the weekend.



Maribel bought me a few drinks



We smoked a beef tongue and used the 14.5 wsm used hickory wood at 235.





My son wanted to grill hot dogs.



The tongue will be chopped in to tacos. Anthony helped. Notice my son doesn't need the chair to look over the grill.



Chopped and was done in 6 hours

It's hard enough to find ingredient to make taco's around my neck of the woods, much less a lengua to find and cook myself! I am dying to try some of yours though Tony and Maribel, your Instagram pics make me drool all the time!!!
 
Well at least Maribel could sit out on your nice patio and work. Cute pictures of the kids and that they like to participate is great! Of course the food picture are again perfection.
 
Great job Tony and nice to see the kids getting into the fun of cooking also. At lease Maribel didn't have to go into work and looking at the backyard pic that's a VERY nice place to work from.
 
Teaching those boys right, and they have a good teacher. Your cooks are awesome Tony. Thanks for sharing.
 
I was gonna say what have you been feeling that boy - he's getting big! ...but then I thought, I know exactly what you've feeding him - great chow like we see in this post!
 
Looks absolutely delicious! He's going to be as good as his old man, starting out that young. Great looking young man! I haven't had tongue since I was a kid. I will now after seeing this cook!

PS Hope Jerry Brown doesn't see those beautiful lawns!!

I think he knows what's best for him and not mess with San Bermardino. Besides the city is bankrupt and its out of control here. LOL
The people that live in the north side are the people who are keeping it nice. :)
