No Wind and I'm Cooking Some Chuck Eyes

Found some great looking Chuck Eyes in the dog food section. Decided to do a marinade, Huli Huli was my choice a pineapple based marinade that I’ve used on chicken and pork and wanted to try it on beef. I reserved some for basting also.

Whitney are rescue pup has settled in to her new home and is about the sweetest thing on the planet. Loves everyone and is full of puppy energy, which is great she forces me to walk her a lot to burn off some of that energy and I need that.

One nice thing about being at 5600 ft. you get that much closer to those beautiful puffy clouds

chuck eyes in the dog food section??

thru the plastic, they look good, never thought of marinating a chuck eye before... but hey... dinner looks Great Rich!

I love Chuck Eyes! They are kinda hard to find around since most people caught on to them a couple years ago, and for sure never find them in the dog food section! Those look scrumptious, the whole plate does! Now I'm hungry for Chuck Eyes! I think I might have a couple in the freezer, I buy every pkg. when I see them!

Jim, I've been known to marinade Chuck Eyes before. Just a basic garlic and herb works for me! Comes out delicious!

Jim, Chuck Eyes are a fairly new here, last year or so and I think most people here have never heard of them so they don't buy them. I find them all the time in the DFS, that's why I used them for my marinade experiment. Was really tasty!
 
Rich and Barb, Your newest rescue pup has the sweetest face ever! I'm so glad she found her forever home with you, you can tell, she's a happy pup! Rescue dogs and cats are the greatest! I have 3 cats and a dog, all rescued. Love them all!
 
Never had just that...but im willing to try! Your house..Lets say...Anytime?...Works for you..works for me.
 
I love the new dog. We rescued one three years ago and he is now a huge part of our family. And the steaks! Wow. Great looking food!
 
I have yet to find chuck eyes at any supermarket, and I REALLY want to try some! Rich and Barb - Whitney is about the sweetest looking dog I've seen! You and her are very lucky to have each other!

Thanks Mike we couldn't be happier with Whitney, she still has some puppy things going on but she's super smart and very attentive so she's learning fast.
We didn't have any Chuck eyes here until about a year ago and I guess I kind of got the ball rolling because every grocery store we would go in I would ask about them.
At first I got quite a few blank stares and then bingo they started showing up in a few stores.
Ask about them it may get some showing up.
 
Here we have tried chuckeyes from two chains, Jewel and Meijer. About half of the time they are great, the other half were very tough,
not real chuckeye and should have been ground into hamburger. Lots of bang for the buck when they are the real deal.
