With so many men home now during the day, trimming their trees, bushes, etc., the city has had to send extra trucks out to pick up the stuff.
How is your neighborhood looking these days?

This time of year, we have pickup of yard debris every Wednesday. Since the whole COVID situation started, they aren't doing the yard debris. :(

One of the things I discovered here in the very small 'burg is the fairly active wood disposal yard. I can bring in brush, limbs, etc., sort it in to right pile, and (I'm told...) pick up compost and wood chips, just have to be able to show village residency.

I haven't done anything with my yard, I'm still ears deep in systems.

Our city has a chipper service, but it's 25 bucks and that goes up if you have a ton of stuff. Our neighborhood looks better than it has in the past.

We had leaf pickup ( vac truck ) at the end of April. Brush pick up, 1 week every month till OCT.
We have alot of trees in my neighborhood, so most of us have fire or burn pits in the back yard for dead fall.
Yard waste I compost, I refuse to pay for stickers and brown bags.

I also have notice that there is more hammering and pounding going on. The men must really be getting pretty bored and building heaven knows what. lol

I have a major road project in the works so, garbage service, recycling, lawn waste is kind of weird, the road is now one way so, I get to take all my units across the street. Not a huge hassle but, lawn waste is still not happening yet. I have a few bags but not a lot right now.

I was talking to a neighbor who manages the contractor desk at HD this am, she tells us the homeowners are driving her nuts, they want her and her folks to pretty much plan out and come up with material lists for all sorts of projects. Usually it's just getting lists of materials for contractors ready.

I don't know what our next door neighbor is doing, but lately I can't tell the difference in the noise he is making and the afternoon thunder storms we are having. LOL

Saw the CEO of WalMart on CNBC yesterday morning, he said landscaping items are selling big. That and they could not keep adult bicycles in stock.

Yea, ya gotta keep the customer happy. Most DIY's don't know how to do a proper take-off, and with the right program it's easy for the folks at the front desk.
But I do agree, the Contractor desk should be for commercial clients, but the way they have that store set-up, who knows?
