Naked Saint Louis ribs in the woods

We spent the weekend in the woods. Decided that ribs would be a good thing to cook. Packed the 14.5 WSM. Went naked on these ribs, just Lawry’s Seasoned salt. went 3-2-1. I had planned on using the Party-Q but I left it at home. As is the norm with the WSM, she rN rock solid and in the 6 hour cook I may had to adjust one vent, once. Weather moved in and we had wind and some rain. WSM didn’t care!

Glad I got this cook in. Our Forests are shutting down campfires Friday. includes briquettes. Back to white gas and propane cooking.

Stunning shots, Case.

What's going on behind your WSM in the 2nd picture? Is that a grill/smoker?
Thank you!

That is the SoloStove Bonfire fire pit. You could cook over it I guess if you wanted to. We use it for our campfires when camping and on our patio at home. The screen system is to keep sparks at bay. Its double walled and works like a gassifier so you very little smoke when using it. And if left to burn down, you end up with a few cups of ash after a night of burning it. Pretty damn efficient! Unfotunately it will have to stay home next trip out. All campfires have been banned for the rest of summer.

Sweet. Thank you...I dig that pit.
Its pretty awesome. We also have the smaller Ranger that we use for day trips. I have the Lite for kayak camping and backpacking. Love all of them.
