My Used But New to me Gen 1 EX4

I’ve thought about getting a 24” myself, although maybe not a Smokefire. Lots of cooks would be better suited to the smaller unit, but having the 36” for the larger cooks just makes sense for me.
I had a Camp Chef 24” before I got my EX6 and I really like the vertical back of the cook chamber. That shape really helps when using a stack of Jerky racks. Rich G is delighted with his.

I mapped the grill soon after I got it. Set temp 250°F. 256 260 270 were my top grate readings. So, on both grills it seems that top left is near enough to set temp. I didn't map at a hotter temp. I primarily do grilling bottom grate right of center.

I mostly cook on the left lower on my SF it seems to be the most "indirect" on my grill Congrats on the new/used grill

Lower left is definitely the common cool spot, interesting that you have it opposite.
Even my chicken quarters the other night were cooking much faster on upper left.
It was like the upper rack was fairly even except the left side. I was tossing chicken to left side to sear the skin cooking at 425.
