Meat Loaf

I finally made the meatloaf I wanted to make yesterday. Teasing tastes I built into this one included capers and horseradish along with the usual aromatics. I ended up only glazing half of it as my wife doesnt like anything on hers. My half has a variant of #5 sauce called Dragons Blood on it.

Plated up with my wifes 4 bean salad (she adds chickpeas/garbonzo beans) and a side salad.

You guys really need to see Fine Cooking issue 109 from Feb/March 2011. It doesnt have an actual recipe but teaches you how to make a good meatloaf. It is kinda like the Flavor Bible for meatloaf.
 
Wow, that's a great looking meat loaf. Never thought to make meat loaf on the grill, seems like a fantastic idea. The salad also looks real nice. Thanks!
 
Meatloaf never looked soo good.. I have to try my hand at some - haven't had it since leaving my parents home many years ago (my wife doesn't like it either)... I think if I made it though - she maybe converted

A great looking meal, Tim. I love grilled/smoked meatloaf.

Interesting addition of the capers and horseradish. What did you think?
