MDW wings


 
To be honest, I didn’t check the temp. I’ve done this cook so many times it’s just following a process. Chimney full of white coals, dump them, wings on for 25 min, flip them, cook another 20 min. Damn near foolproof.
I hear you, I just have been experimenting with briquettes.....sounds silly but I only used them to smoke with and not grill with.
So lately grilling I am with bricks but apparently I am doing something wrong or I just don't like the results....
I ran the vortex the other day but I feel like I didn't wait long enough before using it.....it's along story, just wondering if your dome temps were exceeding 500 degrees or not.
