Magical wood-fire steak cook on Father's Day

A very good friend from Wisconsin sent me a custom made, heavy gauge, stainless steel ash pan for my Maria.
Time to fire her up!

Time for the thick ribeye, and thin T-bone to smell the smoke.

Then the magic happened.
This voodoo flame popped up:

And Presto! 3 steaks appeared!

Seems the dummy who cut and wrapped the ribeye steaks for the freezer (me) didn't mark them as being 2 steaks.
Even though warmed to room temp, they had stuck together very well, until the flip.

Due to bourbon intake, and hunger, I almost didn't take this poor plated shot.

Hope everyone had a great Dad's Day, I did!

If that flame made 3 steaks appear, I'm going to set my office on fire in hopes of the whole cow...

Nice Cook!

Looks great, Bob. That plated picture is beautiful. I really like that Santa Maria Grill, but with our extreme fire danger six months out of the year, I'm a little leery with the open flame. They are selling them like hotcakes at our Costco however. Anyway, beautiful cook.

Great cook and you have one heck of a friend. That dang bourbon can sneak up on you. Keep eating well my friend.

Wow Bob, making a third steak appear is just pure magic! I knew you had great grill skills but nothing that great! Of course if I get enough bourbon in me I've been known to do some magical things too!

David Copperfield must be your cousin:confused:
Beautiful 2 (or 3?) steaks!!! Maria is doing its job well.
Love flame pic bro.

I wish steaks would multiply on my grill like that!!! Another great looking cook Bob, and good to see you broke out the SM grill. I see you added a rotisserie on yours, have you tried it yet?

Bob, those steaks look great, but to get one to become three please send that recipe to me. I like that to happen, but keep cooking like that and we may make a trip and come see you.
