Lobster for my Wife's Birthday

We celebrated my wife's birthday and she told me she'd like to have some lobster. Went to our seafood market and picked out two nice lobster tails, each a little over 11 ounces. The rest of the menu she selected was Pearl Couscous with mushrooms and grilled asparagus with a nice Hollandaise Sauce. Here's our pictures.

Got the ingredients for the Couscous. 2 tsp. butter, 2 huge cloves garlic, 3/4 cup chopped onion, about 1 cup chopped mushrooms, pinch k salt and pepper, 1 1/2 cups pearl couscous, 2 1/4 cups LS Chicken Broth and 1 tbsp. chopped parsley.



This is the basting sauce for the lobster. 1 tbsp. lemon juice, fresh, 1/2 cup OO, 1 tsp k salt, 1 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp white pepper and 1/4 tsp garlic powder.



Got the asparagus ready. Oil and S&P.



Had a few of these. They are delicious, but go softly if you've never had them. AC is 7.2%.



Browned the onion, garlic, S&P and mushrooms on the stove. Added the couscous when soft and then the chicken broth. Let simmer for about 10 minutes. No pic for this last step.



Got the lobsters on my 14 1/2" WSM. Had it dialed in for 375. Lobster is basted and ready to go.

Asparagus done.



Lobster done. Meat is opaque and firm to touch. I had basted a second time about 10 minutes into the cook.



Plated. Picture not crisp. Had camera outside (again) and lens kept fogging up once in the warm house.



This was the best lobster I've ever done and topped anything we've ever had in a restaurant. Right there on the good old Weber. My wife loved everything and had a great birthday. Thanks for looking everyone and see you on the next cook!

She chose a good one. Lobster tail on the grill is a beautiful thing. You're a brave man. Great looking plate.
