KFC Thighs before the Big Chill

My bad back is getting back on track, so I thought I'd photo and share Sunday's cook.
Kettle Fried Chicken thighs.
I added some ancho chili & garlic powders to the Andy's seasoning.

Pre-cook gin Bloody Caesar with jerky garnish. (thanks for the hot 'shrooms JL!)

Four Roses bourbon for the cook cooker.

I took the piece that was a little too 'browned' up.

The only bad taste Sunday was the Rams loss.

Dig out those parkas boys and girls living in most of the USA, you're gonna need 'em!

Bob, excellent looking cook, pictures and drink, as always. I presume the breading crisps up nicely? And could this be cooked on high heat on the WSM without burning the breading?

I suppose it would work on the WSM with HH, but I'd keep a close eye on it.
I like to go indirect until pretty much done, then direct to crisp it up.

Great looking Chicken and the appropriate adult beverages makes it all well. Glad to hear your backs on the mend, having a lousy back myself I know what its like. Yeah getting ready for that big chill, going to get into the sixties here Brrrrr.
As far as the game went except for losing Palmer for the year, but Stanton will get the job done I can't get the grin off my face.

As I mentioned up thread, I suppose this will work on the WSM, but I like indirect until done, then carefully attended direct to crisp them up.
I simply dampen the pieces with water, roll in the breading mix, then spray on a little oil.
