Even though I'm pretty certain that I'll make it to the finish line without ever having a non-Weber grill I still think that's pretty cool. It appears to be a very close match. Not sure if anyone else has any interest in this but thought I'd share since Menards came up in conversation. I don't have any of their stores near me but ordered something from them for the first time this morning.
For starters my Charmglow grill that I picked up had a utensil holder in the picture in the ad that I liked and thought looked simple and period correct on the grill but when I picked it up it wasn't there so I reverse image searched and found one old rusty one on Etsy. It's fine because I'll clean it up and paint it black. I took some better pictures and did another reverse image search and found only one similar match from Menards and cheep so I picked up 4 more of them.
I understand to most normal people it's just a stupid wire hook but I geek out on these kinds of weird details. I bought these to possibly use on my non Weber Vintage grills that don't have a good place for grill tools/utensils. I purchased some other hooks to try also depending on the grill.

Thanks Steve! It's fun for me to try out different grills for myself and I'm always intrigued by almost anything Vintage in general but my Weber Genesis 1000 and Jr still top my list of grills I'll have forever.Even though I'm pretty certain that I'll make it to the finish line without ever having a non-Weber grill I still think that's pretty cool. Great photos Mark! Thanks for sharing. I love that red Junior in the first shot.WOW, what a weekend! Wrapped up the weekend at the Weber South Morang store, it was great they let me participate and join in on the third birthday celebrations.
I'm stoked about the real interest from customers in the vintage Weber grills I had on display, plus the restoration and detailing works.
Over the weekend, I detailed a black '96 Go Anywhere and a red '97 Mastertouch kettle, which is one of my fave Weber kettle designs!
To anyone who recently followed my socials hope you dig the content, 'cause there's more cool restorations coming soon!

Free first Gen summit that didn't APPEAR overly crustyMust have been a good deal. It is gone.

I had thought it was a 2nd generation Summit Gold.Free first Gen summit that didn't APPEAR overly crusty
Maybe it was, I could very well be wrongI had thought it was a 2nd generation Summit Gold.

This is how I do it and it's FAST lolI've been curious about these little flameThrowers. This one looked like it had good options at a good price. So I'll give it a shot for a charcoal starter. I don't do much charcoal but I'm looking to possibly pick up some more charcoal grills. If the right ones come available. I thought about using a side burner for a charcoal starter but I think this could be more convenient for any charcoal grill. We'll see though.

I'd be curious of which one? I did a bunch of research.I think you can get as good or better for less $$$
I did check that one out. Glad it works well for you!Yah Josh, I bought one (the torch) from, I think, Harbor Freight for less than half that. Certainly those things will get coals going fast.
