I will just leave this here

Nice pick up Josh. Any fade on the top? Beautiful freebie.
Thanks Val! No fade at all on this lid. It still has the old school propane quick release fitting and since I had acquired 3 full quick release tanks I decided to put this one to work in rotation with my daily grills to use up those obsolete propane tanks. It's in great working condition. I just put a set of 9mm SS grates in it and a old set of factory SS Flavorizer bars. Eventually I will restore it back to like new condition.

Free broilmaster in my neck of the woods.

I like that old style cart with the 8" wheels on the right instead of small casters on all 4 corners.

I'm not sure if that's a special edition ducks unlimited grill or not but I have seen another one that was green.
-edit-
Never mind ducks unlimited special edition is different.

Please send some shots when you get it fixed up. Awesome find Josh! The source of old Weber freebies seems to be drying up around here. I got this one but paid $50. It will be a fall project. The lid is about as flawless as I have ever seen. The inside doesn't look like it was used but a few times.20250801_104838.jpg20250801_105225.jpg

Nice pick up Val, that one is well worth the $50 you paid for it.

That's great!! Looks like you found a nice one!!

There are more freebies here than I can pick up and store. I'd have to count I'm not even sure how many I have in line for restoration at this point.
I'll definitely post pictures of my restorations and look forward to seeing yours!

On HUGE red flag on that grill Frank. I see an LP grill with a NG hose on it. So one has to wonder what has been going on there? Have they mangled up the valves and orifices? Were they just so ignorant of gas types and properties they assumed you just could stick a different gas line on it at will? But the color is fine. That grill otherwise is a beauty

Well.... at least your 2 burner NG LX is down to $125 now.... How soon before you bite?
Well he told me he'd sell it to me for $100 about a month ago but then didn't get back to me for a couple weeks and even relisted it so when he finally got around to messaging me again I said no thank you. I think probably for $80 or less I'd pick it up and convert it to propane but I really don't need it. I have enough other projects that are more important to me. I already have a LX 240 that's running strong and as long as I take care of it I really don't need another one especially now that I have a couple Junior's

I plan on retiring the Genesis ii LX grills when I retire

You're jumping to the wrong conclusion for that gas line --- thats not a standard NG hose - it looks more like a propane hose tapping into the tank or house to my eyes. Looks like that grill was nicely restored --- anyone with that much attention wouldn't dork up the gas connections.

That's one big saucer. Never seen one like it. I like the 1.25" channel frame. Did you get it?
No I'm not getting it. Way too big for me. Even the standard 22" kettle is way too big for my family of three. Id just end up wasting a ton of charcoal to heat a huge kettle. I'm going to try my Weber Char-Q to see if maybe I'll like to use that occasionally but personally I'm definitely a gas griller first over other designs. Always happy to try different things/methods though.
