I will just leave this here

Is anyone else having problems with FB MP searches. I have mine set to 60 mile radius and a search for "weber" gives me zero local results. That cannot be right. There are weber grills listed withing a few miles of me. It has been like this for two days now and I have tried different browsers and varied my search criteria. Some times I get one or two local results, but I normally get a couple dozen local.

I've been getting lots of links to eBay listings lately, something FBMP is profiting from. Most all are from far outside my search area, sometimes so many it's not worth searching. I wonder if rolling the eBay listings in has caused this.

I sent a message to Zuck to make sure all you get are 100 miles away 🤣

Price drop alert! $650 down to $100. I can’t tell on a phone how long it’s been listed, but I feel like it’s been lurking around for a couple months

No, that has been listed only 3 weeks. Notice that when the photo the inside of the cabinet, they move the container of utensils strategically in front of the open area of the cabinet.....likely to hide the rust.

It "still lights!":sneaky:

A Vieluxe Alternative

Saw this for just 50 bucks. It offers quite a bit in size and features. Lost of stainless, 5 burners, rear infrared, side burner, and pull-out tray for LP tank. With my 56" Vieluxe in progress and on my mind, this one kind of seemed like a bargain version!:smilekettle:

That thing has some issues and needs some work. Those Jenn Aires were made by Nexgrill before Nexgrill went REALLY el-cheapo Chineseum

It's not real far from me. Maybe somehow, I can find some time to go check it out, ONLY for the purpose of learning more! I would like to try the magnet test on the "stainless." New burners, new flavorizers, lots of cleaning...Even if all that was cost effective, dragging home ANOTHER large grill would be my undoing at homeo_O.

EDIT: Never mind, I think I have learned enough:

And, as you said Larry, this model was made in China by Nexgrill. Here is a more balanced but not overly positive review:

I have had that same Jenn Air for many, many years. I did have to replace the burners but put in the cast stainless steel ones a number of years ago and they have lasted very, very well. It was an LP version and I had it converted to Natural gas. The worst thing that happened is the igniters were mounted to the gas valve and the mounts for those finally rusted away. I just drilled holes and put a new igniter sticking through by the burner. Sometimes takes a bit to get it lit but not that much of an issue. The little tray in the middle that was to hold the wood chips for smoking rusted away but I never really smoked on it anyway. It has grilled a mountain of food over the years and is still going. It is a model 720-151.

Has it only been three weeks? It seems like longer to me. I was watching that summit in the dells, messaged him this morning if he’d send pics of the cabinet. A few hours later it was marked sold.

IDK the time period Nexgrill went from building those JennAires well and out of 304 to going full on el cheapo build but same styling qualities. Early ones were tanks though

Yah, a lot of times when you message someone about a grill they have had for sale a long time, they mark them sold because they realize they forgot to delete the listing when they sold/disposed of it.
