It's the lower cross member. You just have to knock out or pull out the square tubing connector and buy new ones. Get some stainless steel replacement bolts and you're all set.

I usually pry them out with a screwdriver. You need to replace them on both ends even if the bolt isn't broken off on the other side.

You can also screw the bolt back into a seemingly good one and pull it out by the bolt head. In any case, you need to replace all four and sometimes they don't seat right so have extras.

Another couple tips on this while I'm thinking about it. Try to get the excess rust out of the cross member where the tubing connector was, use a brass wire toothbrush or a small wire brush in your drill. Insert a bolt into the connector and hammer it into the cross member until it is straight and only as deep as it needs to go to be seated properly. Do all of this before painting or your new paint job will get messed up.

Yes, putting them all back together at the end is the most satisfying part of it next to admiring my own work afterwards.

My favorite part is thinking back to what it looked like before. I still have to get the valves ironed out. But just getting the frame back together with the cookbox mounted is pretty satisfying.

That's why I always try and take before pics, so I can go back and compare. Yes, getting the freshly painted frame together along with the cook box is a highly satisfying step. What's wrong with the valves?
