I will just leave this here

Took off this SS handle from a 3-burner Spirit lid. The insulators are angled to the lid trim. I remember correctly the SS Gen Gold I had a straighter insulator. I wonder if this will adapt better to the silver lids then the Gold I adapted to the 2-burner Spirit lid.

edit:
I put the handle up to the 2-burner spirit, that I adapted the SS Gold handle too and this Spirit handle from this take off was too big. So maybe it can be an option for a Silver B curved lid. (which I do not have).

This handle and the grill I removed it from.

I have a decent set of Gearwrench tools showing up on Monday with 1/4 drive 3/8 drive and 1/2 drive. On the odd occasion I do need something a little bigger so I picked up this small 3/4 drive set today with a L-72 R Snap-on Ratchet and a couple Snap-on extensions and mostly Snap-on sockets with the exception of an old Craftsman and a couple others. I bought from a very old man. He said his dad bought them new when his dad was a young man. Love vintage stuff especially when I know the story behind it.

Good night. That stuff is made for working on huge tractors, busses or semis. Not grills :D

I’m dying to know what you work on that needs that big of sockets.
The bottom bolt on the large vintage American made bench Vises I restore are between 1"-2".

Also l build Brick high-rises in and around the Seattle area and the sister company I work with sometimes erecting Fraco. Motorized hydraulic scaffolding that I work off of and service when I build high-rise buildings. Sometimes I install cranes on my scaffolding also if I don't have a tower crane on site.

Other than that it's good to be prepared.

I don't understand why this special Kettle and the Stealth edition don't have the upgraded ash catcher? Is it to keep a more classic look?

Probably to keep the cost down, would be my guess, as well as giving it a retro look. The newer style ash sweep is a big plus, in my book, and these open pan models are a bit of a burn risk...coals and sparks can fall out of the bottom vents, hit the pan and bounce out.

I’m glad Weber came out with the Stars/Stripes and Stealth at such a great price. They are supercool. The Daisy wheels are a cool throwback but my lazy butt could go never back to them after using the newer levered ash sweep.
