Looks to me like a beautiful cooker waiting for those rib-eyes Bruce mentioned.

But, at that modest investment it does have plenty of room for a patient flip opportunity. That crimson color would definitely help with that!

There is a similar condition (not quite as sparkling, though) black one that someone in my area is trying to get $600 for.

Yeah it's going to get flipped. I certainly have no need for two large Weber gas grills. I'm going to try and put together a semi-enclosed grilling station on the patio this Fall/Winter and I am intrigued with the possibility of adding a Weber Performer Deluxe to accompany my E-335.

Not necessarily so any more. The newer grills have grates that can be used either side up as they have the flat leveling squares on all corners of both sides. I only learned of this recently myself. I’ll see if I can find the Weber literature that confirmed it again to share.

I would pass on that their are plenty of used performers around at least down here there are. If your gonna buy a used one IMO make sure it has the gas assist even if your not going to use it would be a selling point if you sold it down the road. Personally I have the gas assist on mine also bought years ago used for 85 bucks I start my chimney with the gas no more newspaper ash or whatever flying around when you lift it to fill your baskets.

That's a decent deal, and it IS a gas assist model.
That is a flip-up cover is covering the gas assist controls.
It is however missing the virtually worthless timer.

My bad I did not see a tank on it so assumed it did not have gas assist. I wonder what that bar or whatever across the two back legs is mine does not have that not sure I have seen that before.
 
I would imagine that would be nightmare to keep from rusting. Has any used a carbon steel cooking grate like that before?
