I will just leave this here

Not nit picking, wondering if it's the lighting on the hood makes it look weird? Otherwise a great catch
Yep, always skeptical on those black lids. I think what you are seeing is reflection, but I would like to see another photo of the top part of the lid after it was cleaned off a bit.

One of the black ones I picked up looked horrible in the picture. Almost didn’t go for it. Got there in person, nearly flawless.

After I posted it I saw that reflection, must have been the gray cloudy morning when I picked it up. I'll clean the lid up a bit to see how it comes out when I'm back up where it's stored tomorrow. I'm hoping at worst there are just the small flecks that some here have seen.

Deals like this show up rarely near me. When I saw this one, for a moment it seemed I was north of Seattle, not Detroit.

I'm hoping for the best. It's all about the lid on a Skyline. That's why I have one stored in parts in my garage, the lid just isn't nice enough to justify me spending the time on it.

I've never had any luck with them, if they are locked up I toss them.
I was bored at work (F it Friday kinda day), and thought I will give this a shot. Figured what have I got to lose. The wheels popped right off, blew them all out. I used a little emery cloth to skin off the axle, and dropped some oil down in the stem, and on the seized up brake (one of those mud cocoons were locking the brake closed). Worked the stem and brake and viola, good to go. Put a couple drops of oil on the tiny axles and popped the wheels back on. Good to go. Took 10ish minutes to do the pair.

I'll give it a shot. I didn't think the wheels would come off without breaking them.

the good folks here have convinced me to stay away.
I'm not scared to put in the work when it's worth it to me. I enjoy the challenge and prefer not to take the easy road. The end result is that much sweeter that way. Kind of like Jon's first generation Summit that he has custom fabricated a fix for the cookbox. That Grill took some work but if I was him I would be much more proud of that accomplishment over one that just needed and cleaning and wipe down.
