I will just leave this here

These ones seem good quality for cast iron but I'm also no expert. Doesn't matter either way. CI isn't for me. I'll put them in my 2000 if I try to sell it.
They aren't my thing either, but you never know when you'll run into one of those cast iron fanatics and you'll be ready for them. I still have a set of cast iron grates from something too that I'm not sure why I'm holding on to them.

You must remove it. Sanding will take a bit of work and you need to remove the bubbling chrome from the edges.

How do you remove the Emblem ? Heat gun and dental floss or fishing line ?

What did you use to adhere it back onto the BBQ after you cleaned it up ?

Thanks for the tips !

My friend’s neighbor wheeled this out to the curb yesterday. He called me and I asked him to stash it until I could come get it. I went and got it about 15 minutes ago. Far and away the cleanest bottom panel I’ve seen on a propane version of the 310. I may have to move this to the front of the line, and see if I can move it before Memorial Day. The damage on the left door is the only flaw on this grill.

It's crazy that people throw these things out, especially given the price of a new one.

I bought a used Summit 650 for $100 sight unseen except for some pictures. I received it today and it is in great shape. Owners said the burners didn't work anymore. Of course they didn't... they were covered with 1/2" of grease. Can't even see the slots in them. How grease got under the flavor bars is beyond me.

I'll post some pictures of it in a couple days.

It should be held on to the lid with two little clips from the back of the lid. You need to pry them off and then get new ones to put it back on.IMG_20250427_234631483.jpg

The front of the cook box where the burner tubes go through tends to start rusting out on those models and it gets quite bad. As long as your grill doesn't suffer from that you may have something there.
