I will just leave this here

In my never ending quest to make grills great again, and desire to try new things and tinker I decided to try painting a horrible looking, and deeply stained plastic end cap. I think it turned out great, and the color may just be a dead nuts match. Rustoleum 2X - in Granite w/ Satin finish.

Once it’s fully dry I’m tempted to try and scratch it up to see if it sticks well. I didn’t use the normal adhesion promoter that I use. I have one other that is junk that I’m thinking I’ll try it on and compare the two.
I vote for giving your paint job a good long cure time. No paint will last forever, but I think it is an acceptable way to breathe new life in badly faded parts, especially if you are painting back to the original color.

Agreed on it lasting forever! I wanted to see what I could make them look like with a $5 can before investigating into the longer lasting automotive paint lines. I am going to leave it out in a sunny area just to see how it looks after a few weeks.

If one were to build a museum piece that they have zero intention on using, I think this route would be the ticket.

However on my keeper SS, it may end up getting painted ends, because if they look bad in a few years its not terribly difficult to freshen in up.

With all the fabricating I see some of you guys doing (Jon et al) :D And Hazard Fraught selling plasma cutters relatively inexpensively I'm amazed someone hasn't jumped on one. Jon a cutter would knock out that project of your deflector and many others quite easily I would think

I have seen people attempt to resell them from anywhere from $150 to $250.
They are very desirable among kettle owners for they lock down the grill to secure it to the table.
Great for picnic or tailgating, so they feel, I think.

I think the table is beyond just the Weber Brand. It looks like the best travel table solution for travel grills out there. I don't like grilling on a small grill on the ground as I get older. I've lugged around other fold-able tables, melted tops, and worried a hot grill could slide off a table in a campsite with kids running around. The Weber table solves most of those issues.

I'd like to get one. Hard to find and I'm not willing to pay $150+ most people ask. I think the build of the Weber table is not robust but is suited for the job of a traveling grill. It's simple/light, folds very compact for travel, has the notches to securely hold grill, and has a metal top with just enough space to hold the food you're about to grill (and a beer).

I don't know why they don't reissue this product online or just come out with a new improved design. I think the demand is there.

Why are those tables popular? I don't see the appeal.

Oh I see it has The notches for the feet of the grill. Doesn't look very well built though
They are actually really stable. They can accomdate the lil smoky, go anywhere and I believe the 18.5" jumbo joe (I think is what it is called). My brother has one and loves it. He also found a few NIB a few years back and sold them at a hell of a profit... that was our first real experience with how fanatical Weber folks can be... and here I am with 25 grills :ROFLMAO:

I guess we all like what we like for different reasons. It looks like there's far better options on Amazon for under $50
