Jon, next time you are up this way, we could maybe make a trip over by where I grew up. It is just south of the little town where "Grumpy Old Men" was filmed. The bar/restarant in the film is still there and they play the movie continuous on tvs in the place. It is the same town as the National Bald Eagle museum as well. Wabasha, MN

I've just been looking into lumber today. And looking into a rail slide router and a bench top planer. Im itchin to kick up The woodworking. I probably have plenty of wood for now though.

Do you use a rail slide router for handles?

I've been doing that for a few years now with reproduction handles and slats. You would probably be surprised at how many people ask me about them vs. how many people actually end up buying them. Most guys end up trying to refinish the old, warped handle rather than pay for a nice new one. The people that do buy new handles and slats are the people that want their grill to look really good and can't or don't want to make the stuff themselves.
