I am thinking about asking my friend to airbrush celebrities on a couple of my excess starters and see what I can get for them:rolleyes:! Any suggestions for whom?
 
I have decided to quit buying propane. It is just cheaper to buy or pick up free Old Weber grills with full tanks. The last two grills I grabbed came with two tanks each. Three were full and one is about 3/4 full. Total $50 spent. I have at least 15 tanks now and about half are full.
 
Yah, I have freecycle. A few groups in my area. The get about one post a month and I get more messages from them about needing a new moderator, than I do people selling or giving things away.
 
Ooh, that stinks. I get about 20-30 posts per day on mine with more on the weekend. Very surprising the stuff people give away.

That is crazy. How do you find old in the world do you find free Webers?
 
Mike: watch facebook marketplace and craigslist. Depending on if you are in a populated area or not will determine how often you see "Free" listings for a weber grill. The key is to be on top of it so you can beat everyone else to it. People seem to pick up "Free" stuff regardless if they need it or not. But, you should also see plenty of the $20 - $50 Weber grills as well.
 
I have seen these ads before and was able to get some free grills. But my problem is a different one. I ride my bicycle to work. Even if I see a grill I either cannot leave the office and/or don’t have the means to pick it up that day. Especially when they post the address where the grill can be found.

You have to be patient and ready to pounce. I'm ok with spending $25-$50 for a good weber but it's awesome when it's free. In my case, I got two of my free grills from Freecycle. Both were in my town so I didn't have to travel far. There was one in Rhode Island on LetGo that I was going to get but when I hit traffic en-route, I passed on it. It wasn't worth my time to travel an hour each way.
 
All rehabers need to consider this.

I just wanted to announce that I had a great week with grills this week. I finished three this week all kind of at once. My SS Platinum Franken grill, my Q320 Red Head and my Spirit E210. I put the Q320 and E210 Up Wednesday night on CL and FB MP and the Franken Grill went up Thursday. I sold the E210 yesterday, the Q320 this morning and Franken Grill left my driveway an hour ago. $775 in two days. I am happy and am just waiting on some paint for my next Q320.

I sold my $320 for $350 a few days ago and the gorgeous red head Genesis 1000 for $225. But the old ones sell not very well here. I had that 1000 out there for about two weeks. And only 2 people asking. And only one low ball offer. This testified for me that people in my area are looking for bling and modern grills. As much as I like them the buyers don’t.
