I will just leave this here

You can use this link to contact RCPlanebuyer through craigslist. Just pick one of his adds and contact him through that and tell him what you are looking for. This way he doesn't have to pay EBAY fees and can charge you less for your order:

I guess I am missing something. Why would those not work on a Silver/Gold Genesis???
I suppose you could make them work, but am I correct that the ones for the Silver didn’t have the screw-on nut but instead plastic clips that plug into notches on the frame part?

It's just the way it's secured to the grill. Screw on thread versus clip
Right, but I know from experience that you won't get anywhere using the plastic clip kind on an older frame that wasn't designed for it.

It might work the other way around, though. Since I concentrate on the older Genesis models, I traded all of my "clip" ones to Bruce who does a lot of Silver grills.

I put an onlyfire screw on type on my Gold C nightmare, and the hole was just a little too narrow for it to fit into so I had to file it out a little bit. I put the igniter button on the control panel and it was clicking it down fine. I personally like the screw on type more. I like the added security of it, over banking on a couple plastic tabs to hold it (not that they dont work fine).

Yes I agree with you 100% Jon. I also only concentrate on the older stuff. At least with this igniter system. Technically I work on 1985 to 1999 for my own personal grills and 2011 to now for personal, flips and donation grills. Personally I would just use the proper igniter for the grill whichever it came with from the factory. As far as weather the screw style will work on the newer Weber's I'm not sure. The only thing I use the clip style igniters for is older Q grills.
