I've never quite understood why you need a grill mat --- especially for Webers...... others, maybe. Where is the grease leaking/dripping from?
My only issues have been when you hang tools from the hooks (tools get hung on a leftover frame OFF the deck but within reach) or when you clean the grill and chunks of crud go flying. I will concede the occasional spill does occur, but that would more than likely miss the mat anyways.

The grease drips from the front of the lid. No, we don't eat greasy food...steak, hamburger, and ribs. Run a paper towel under the front of the lid and you'll see.

Thanks Ed I appreciate it. That does look like a good one. I just found one that I'm happy with though. 6 ft by 4 ft like I was wanting seems pretty heavy and pretty heavy duty I'd say about 25 lbs. For $39

I'm always happy to spend the money when it's worth it but wasting $ for no reason is not my thing

Well I tried to talk them down to 300 at Home Depot. I got him to take it down to 350 from 400. Based on the fact they didn't have the 42 available. Perfect fit in my rental car. I still think I overpaid by a little bit but I like it.
